Who we are
For 36 years, I've had the privilege of shaping young minds as a primary school teacher, Head of Music and Head of ICT. This long and rewarding career has not only instilled in me a deep understanding of people, but also nurtured a keen eye for capturing special moments. It's within the dynamic school environment that my passion for photography has developed. Over the years, I've honed my skills, becoming adept at everything from classic individual portraits and class photos to original sports team pictures, comprehensive event coverage, and crafting compelling marketing materials for the school itself. I understand the energy of a school event, the importance of a perfect team photo, and the value of a headshot that makes a person look their best.
My photography isn't just limited to the school environment. As a parent of five, and understanding the joys of family life, our home has housed a veritable menagerie over the years, looking after a dog, several cats and rabbits, six snakes, two tarantulas, gerbils, hamsters, and a variety of fish! Consequently it's no surprisethat I'm a passionate pet photographer! Whether it's capturing the playful spirit of a beloved companion under studio lighting or documenting the excitement of a dog agility competition, I relish the opportunity to showcase the unique personalities of our furry, scaled, and sometimes eight-legged friends. It's a passion shared by my talented wife, who is a gifted pet portrait and mural artist – clearly, a love for animals and art runs in the family!
Beyond stills photography, I'm also drawn the power of video. I enjoy the creativity of designing dynamic promotional videos for schools and businesses, whether bringing products to life, or capturing the energy and excitement of live performances. You may have seen local drone footage of our gorgeous woodland areas on social media.
I thrive in the spontaneous atmosphere of event photography. From the joy of a birthday celebration to the intense atmosphere of a concert, the thrill of a sporting event, or the vibrant energy of a festival, I love being there to capture the emotions, the action, and the stories that unfold. as well as the detail which makes each event personal.
And finally, I have a love for landscape photography, providing Hazlemere and Widmer End with images for the Widmer Fields calendar over the last few years.
Ultimately, my goal is to provide high-quality photography and videography services that meet a diverse range of needs. Whether you're a school looking to document the year, a business seeking to enhance your brand, a pet owner wanting to celebrate your furry (or scaled!) friend, or an individual planning a special event, I'm able to help you capture and preserve those precious moments, always keen to tailor my offering to your particular needs.
